Navigating with GPS

Overview

The objective of this seminar is to enable the operator of a recreational small craft to navigate safely and efficiently to any destination, using a Geographic Position System (GPS) receiver and conventional charts.

What will I learn
You'll learn basic GPS skills and procedures that minimize the possibility of human error in the operation of electronic navigation equipment. The course is restricted to the navigational aspects of GPS. Participants may discover they need additional skills to navigate safely when instruments fail.
