PROCTORS

Proctors are the people who mark the homework and the final exams. They also help out at the Boating Class - particularly for the navigation lessons and for the knots. Proctors also help set up the class room and they put away chairs, table and equipment after the class. Like instructors, proctors are volunteers. They do not receive remuneration for the work they do. Some procotors are also instructors.

The initials "ATO" stand for Assistant Training Officer.

NEW PROCTORS

The Nanaimo Power and Sail Squadron welcomes new proctors. Proctoring is a great way to review the content of a course that you have already taken. It is also a good way to get to know other squadron members.

If you are interested in being a proctor, contact the Chief Proctor. New proctors are given an orientation.
