PURPOSE

The purpose of the Nanaimo Power & Sail Squadron Website (www.nanaimocps.org) is:

• to provide information to members of the public about the Nanaimo Power & Sail Squadron through the About Us button.
• to provide a way for members of public and squadron members to register and pay securely online for NPS courses through the Courses button.
• to provide an opportunity for squadron members to socialize online and keep up on news and events through the Ning Social Site button and the Lubber Line button.
• to provide a way for members of the public and squadron members to arrange safety checks for their boats through the Safety Checks button.

Community information bulletin boards, posters, and paid advertising for Courses and other NPS Activities direct readers to this Website.

HISTORY

Jan Pullinger created the original website. Bill Weller created an interactive website using Ning. Penny Grant revised the original website and linked it to the Ning site through the Ning Social Site button. Peter Kistler is the longtime Webmaster.

The website is hosted by Coast Internet located in Chemainus.
