About Nanaimo CPS

Nanaimo Power and Sail Squadron is a proud member of the Canadian Power and Sail Squadron, a non-profit organization with branches across the country.

Our purpose is to increase boating safety through our training and education programs. Our large and active membership includes many highly skilled volunteers who share their knowledge and time as instructors. Our key courses are Canadian Coast Guard accredited.

We meet on the second Monday of each month except in the summer when we are all out enjoying safe boating!  Interesting speakers and many fun events are the hallmark of our organization.

We team up with other Squadrons for some events and others are open to the public. If you have passed the Boating Course, you are welcome to attend one of our meetings before deciding whether or not to join CPS.

We invite you to take the Canadian Power and Sail Squadron basic Boating course, which begins in September and January each year. Then come aboard as a full member of the Nanaimo Power Squadron with its many member benefits.
